10 year Anniversary Luau

May 15 2020

Today was our 10 year wedding Anniversary!
I can't believe 10 years have already flown by. If you would have asked me where we would be, I would have loved to celebrate it in Hawaii 🌴🥥
But with the Coronavirus and me being pretty pregnant we did not have any plans to travel anywhere.
I am so thankful I listened to my feelings and promptings and we did a little early celebration in February. We went to Last Vegas at a resort for several days and it was wonderful. I'm SO glad we went through with that.
So we had fun at our place and I put together everything we needed for a fun family Hawaii Luau celebration.
Thanks to Pinterest and the dollar store it all came together really nicely 😃
I made some cute decorations and got the family Luau leis and Hawaii skirts. I even made some stuff we had into a little Tiki hut. We had some games for the kids and of course good food and I made a playlist of Hawaiin music to play.
We had sweet pork pulled sandwiches on Hawaii rolls , salad, strawberries, pineapple, bbw and cheddar chips, swedish fish, goldfish, and even a real coconut and pineapple. And of course I made a Hawaiin decorated cake. It was chocolate with a slight coconut flavor to the frosting and it was delicious!
I let the kids watch Moana while I set everything up and decorated. I used our garage and decorated it with a cute Hawaiin backdrop ( a tablecloth ) and some cute palm tree and Tiki statue things. We had a bucket of sand with sea shells for the kids to find, sand art with colored sand and bottles, hula hoops, a little fishing pond with a cute fishing rod toy I found at the dollar store, and a couple other things. ( I got Pat a ladder ball game so we set that up too)
Pat chopped the coconut and the kids got to try the coconut milk which they thought was pretty cool! Corbin loved the coconut milk but Brylianna spit it out haha. She did like the coconut meat though.
We danced and listened to Hawaiin music. Corbin ate chips right out of the bowl sitting on the table. And we face timed our families so they could join in a bit too. My family was so cute, my Mom and Dad and Paige and Jamie and little Jameson all dressed up in Hawaiin outfits, it was so cute and sweet!
Corbin says coconut so cute 😂 he wore his skirt but refused to wear the adorable blue lei I got him. He also tried to steal all the strawberries!  And Brylianna was the best cutest little hula dancer I've ever seen.
It was a perfect night and we had great weather for our Luau! 🌺 The kids ate too much sugar and we're crazy and stayed up way past bedtime.  So I guess that means it was a success. I'm so happy with how everything turned out. It was a very nice Anniversary. ♥️
