Well August has just been crazy to sum it up. Sienna was born the 5th. We came home from the hospital the 7th. My mom stayed several days after that and then Pat's mom was sweet and came and visited for several days too. It was SO nice for the older kids to have some grandma time and more attention then Pat and I could give them and let us get a bit more sleep.
While Grandma Buhr was in town the fair was going on so she took Brylianna and Corbin to the fair it was so fun for them to get out and do something. Even if it was small and extra small because of covid stuff.
When my mom was here we had a streak of bad luck lol. Her car tired almost blew out on her way here she had to stop and get them replaced, then her car wouldn't start one day here when she went to take Brylianna into town. Brylianna got stung by a bee (maybe?) She freaked out for like 20 minutes almost hyperventilating but we didn't see a mark? Corbin almost choked and wasn't getting air and then there up all of his dinner. Etc. Just random crazy stuff on top of sleep deprived newborn life. And then Pat got notified he was now the acting manager at Coral Pink and was now in charge of ALL operation going on.
Insane much?
Then after my mom left like the next day or two Brylianna got stung by a scorpion! Thank goodness Lori was here and I did not freak out as much as I would have and I'm glad I wasn't alone.
It was a crazy week and I'm just glad we survived , not to mention all that on top of trying to heal from childbirth. But I'm grateful we were able to have our sweet mom's visit! ♥️ Love and appreciate them!
Oh and my birthday happened to and I am now 31! We are outside and of course had cake. Brylianna and Corbin sang Happy birthday so so cute and sweet to me. And Pat had the night off and Lori was here still so that was nice.
Sienna is a cutie pie and is such a good baby. She is an expert snuggler and cutie. I forget how little they are! She has such a cute newborn cry. She is a good eater now too thank goodness. Pat has been so amazing at helping with all the things and trying to help and let me get sleep when I need it too. Love him love him. I try to go on evening walks almost every night. Sienna joins me in the stroller most the time. I try to go before the bats come out in the evening cuz they drive me crazy and fly way to low and close to me for my comfort!
Brylianna and Corbin have been pretty good with her. Both are so sweet. Corbin gives her kisses on her head all day long and wants to hold her and giggles and says " Her ( she) loves me! He also runs right over asap when she is sad and tries to give her blankets etc. He sings lullabies to her and Brylianna does too. Brylianna loves her baby outfits and talks about how cute she is all the time.
They have been misbehaving horribly the first couple weeks after Sienna was here and fighting like cats and dogs and can't get along for more then 5 minutes, fighting and etc,and it has been extremely challenging and frustrating. I know they are just tired and routines are messed up and things are new but geeze.
It has slowly gotten better as we've gotten into more of a routine lately though. Finally.
Brylianna started online preschool ( upstart) and has been loving it. She is so smart and bright and has done awesome so far.
I am trying my hardest to enjoy hard days, be more patient and yell less, and give the kids more one on one time when I can. I don't want these stages to fly by or regret things, but it's hard some days. But I am trying to look for the good cuz I know if I do, the good gets better.
Sweet little Corbin still wants snuggles and is having a hard time not being the baby. His little voice is so precious. Mommy, I love you. He still says several times a day. 😍 He loves dinosaurs and all his toy cars right now. He loves airplanes too and is so cute playing and going vrooom while playing with a plane or car. He is so loud! It is just him. It's like impossible for him to ever use a quiet voice unless he thinks a bunny is in the front yard haha 😂 I love that sweet little boy and need to be more patient with him. He loves books right now too and I love that. The other day he was in Brylianna's room just laying on his tummy reading books it was so cute. Their favorite right now are : How to babysit a grandma/Grandpa, don't let the pigeon drive the bus, the great mouse defective, Winnie the Pooh, and Corbin like Where the wild things are.
They love playdough and kinetic sand. Brylianna loves coloring and drawing and writing to her pen pal Elora. They love ice cream and cake. ( Lately Corbin has been asking for cupcakes if he naps, which they don't anymore and he really wants a toy rocket for some reason 😂) they both love movies right now too.
They did awesome with swim lessons this past summer well Brylianna did, but Corbin didn't have a very big class, and loved going swimming at the pool in town too. He loved going through the lazy river with Daddy all the time.
And they also love to Marco Polo family.
It has been weird, and challenging pregnancy, young kids, newborn life during quarantine. But it had had good moment too.
Love my little family more than anything. ♥️
