California part 2

Day 4
We didn't get a ton of sleep since we got to bed so late the night before. But we woke up and left Turlock and drove to Yosemite. ( Around 4 hours I think) we saw Bridalveil Falls and it was gorgeous. Brylianna loved playing in the woods and climbing on rocks. We had lunch of pb and J's in view of the waterfall . It was a perfect afternoon. Then we did a mile loop of lower Yosemite falls. My legs and feet were still super sore and recovering from our crazy hike the previous day. So I wasn't moving very fast. Yosemite had lots of beautiful waterfalls and pretty rocky scenery and beautiful trees. Next we went to our hotel (through a canyon, windy road , no passing for next 26 miles sign and we got stuck behind a slow truck for a bit) and our hotel was our favorite we stayed in. It was adorable and had beautiful paintings on the walls and a little balcony and cute pool and hot tub. We checked it out and then had dinner at a delicious Mexican place and Corbin tried rice and beans and made a hilarious face everytime he had rice. And all the waitresses loved Brylianna and she was talking to them and they were talking to her all night.
Day 5
Corbin turned 9 months old today! We had an awesome breakfast at a buffet at our hotel.  It was a Misty rainy day in Yosemite today which was kinda nice to have a down day since I was still sore and we had been going going going . So we checked out some or the shops and visitors centers and got some souvenirs and walked around a little more of Yosemite valley . Then we went back to our hotel and went swimming and swam in the hot tub. It was awesome and we mostly had the place to ourselves. We saw a squirrel on a pipe in the ceiling too! Then we just relaxed at the room and had dinner and tried to get some sleep which was hard cuz Corbin diddnt sleep through a single night of our trip  Brylianna was super excited she got to sleep in her very own queen bed that night too. It took forever to get her to sleep and she may have knocked over a lamp 😂 but eventually we got a bit of sleep! Also there was a super sweet lady next door to us and she said our kids were just adorable and she gave us one of her grandsons shirts for Corbin cuz she just thought our kids were so cute. It warmed my heart.
Day 6
We got up and had an amazing breakfast again at the buffet and packed up and headed to Sequoia. We had to get tire chains to get into the park so we rented some. Then we had PB and J's inside the park. We drove up to Big trees museum and saw General Sherman the biggest tree in the world. It was super snowy up there the further you got into the park. We wanted to see the big tree but it was too snowy and cold for Corbin. So Brylianna went with Pat, and Corbin and I waited in the car til they came back, then i went and saw it. It was only about half a mile or less from the car. Then we came back down and it was crazy the difference in weather. It was misty and slightly rainy towards the entrance to the park and we saw a rainbow. Then we ate at another Mexican place and checked into our little lodge we were staying at that night. It was small and cute and cozy. There was the tiniest little bathtub I have ever seen  and the kids took a bath in it and we went to bed .
Day 7
We all snuggled in bed in the morning then ate breakfast and there was a huge stuffed animal bear Brylianna was obsessed with. We drive to Barstow California. It was one if those middle of nowhere places that I bet is always windy lol. But our room was surprisingly nice for the price we paid and what we were expecting. We found a cute pizza place that also had an arcade. While we were waiting for our food a sweet older lady brought Brylianna some fried zucciniz sticks and some ranch to eat while we waited and told us our kids were adorable . It was so sweet. Then our food came and we had a ton of pizza pasta and bread and it was delicious. It was Corbin's first time eating pasta and he loved it .and none if it had eggs in! Then we all played at the arcade  and Brylianna was fascinated. There were some kids that had these soft spikey balls and she really wanted a pink one but they were from one of those claw machines. So Pat tried to get her one and he got it with our last coins! She was so excited, it was pretty adorable. Then we went back to the hotel and went to bed.
Day 8
We woke up and packed up for the last time and ate breakfast and started our 8 hour drive back. We had so much fun it was such a great trip. I love going new places with my little family and making memories and seeing the beautiful places in this world! ♥️
