Trip to St George

We got to go to St George last week and help my dad with the annual travel show that his work does every year.
I was pretty excited to leave 30° weather for 50° weather.
We decided to go look at some state parks while we were down there since Pat could potentially work at one of them in the future. We visited several and looked around. The kiddos were pretty great for most the car ride.
We liked Snow Canyon state park and went on a couple hikes there. We did one that was only half a mile and had a bunch of soft sand for Brylianna to play in. Someone had left a shovel and cup in the parking lot so Brylianna got to have them. She loved them so much. We could only walk about 5-10 steps and then we would have to wait cuz she would be bending down digging in the dirt 😅
Then we went on another short hike that was called Jenny's canyon. There was a neat little slot canyon that you could hike to that was pretty fun. Brylianna liked clapping in it and the echos, and the little nooks and crannies she could crawl in.
That night we got to go to dinner at Chuck a Rama with my dad and Brylianna requested green and orange Jello and macaroni and cheese and ate two platefuls plus more jello and ice cream with sprinkles. She says ice cream so cute. She is at a really cute stage with her talking and sounds so darn cute when she says a lot of things.
We also got to go swimming in the pool at the hotel (it was heated) and the hot tub. We had both all to ourselves it was pretty sweet. It was Corbin's 1st time swimming and he looked so dashing in his swim suit. He loved the water.
So did Brylianna she loved going back and forth between the hot tub and pool and jumping off the side to me or Pat.

The next day Pat helped my dad and I took the kiddos to an adorable children's museum. They had 12 themed rooms that kids could play and learn in. Brylianna loved milking the cow, and the dinosaur room where she sat on a baby dinosaur and it made noises.
Then we hung out at the hotel so the kids could take naps. It took forever to get them to sleep but they both slept for like 3 hours wahoo!
They have both had a bit of a cough and Corbin is working on getting his 1st tooth so they needed sleep!
Then we went to dinner and the waitress was super nice to Brylianna and she ordered chicken fingers that came in an adorable cardboard car. Pat ordered and ate a 16 lb steak. Then we had to go swimming again cuz Brylianna had been begging to all day.
The next day we got up and packed and ate breakfast and went to adventure to some more state parks. We went to Sand Hollow. I thought the red sand was gorgeous against the blue water. And we went by Quail Creek, and Kodachrome where we did another cool little hike to an arch. We drove on a pretty scenic route and  through back neat area we liked called  Duck Creek. And we also stopped by Piute state park which was pretty but very windy and cold by then since the sun was going down but we let Brylianna play in the sand and rocks by the water while I fed Corbin. Watching Pat and Brylianna hold hands and run by the water just melted my heart, it was pretty adorable.  Then Pat let her "drive" the car around a bit.
Then we stopped by Fremont museum but it was closed and then we headed back. It started snowing a bunch on the way back and it was dark. The kids did wonderful except the last two hours were a bit rough. But all in all taking a 2 year old and 7 month old on an 850 mile car trip we consider the whole endeavor to be a success and fun little family trip. We can't wait to see what's out future holds and to make more family memories along the way 🙂

Heading on an adventure (ever since we got back Brylianna has been asking " Can we go on another adventure please?" It is so cute

She picked a red donut for breakfast
