May 2021 Anniversary celebration and trip to Sedona

We had our 2nd annual Luau celebration for our Anniversary which I started last year during Covid when we couldn't go anywhere to celebrate. It is fun to do something with the kids so they realize it is a special day and hopefully realize the importance of marriage and celebrating it and building good memories.

Then my sweet mom came to stay with the older kids for a couple of days so Pat and I could go celebrate our 11 Year anniversary and we took a trip to Sedona for a couple of nights. We took Sienna with us so it would be a bit easier for my mom and cuz she still isn't sleeping through the night and is nursing. She was such a great little traveler for the drive ( about 5 hours) Our first stop at a gas station she had a blowout so bad though that we totally just threw away her clothes lol and had to clean the car seat before driving.

We enjoyed Sedona and it was a cool town to visit. We visited Jerome, the first day which was a miner town then ghost town and now is a tourist town and it is set on a hill so its kind of interesting. We walked around town and checked out the museum and had lunch at the park at a bbq place that was super delicious. Sienna fell asleep in the poco while we walked around the town.

We went on the most beautiful hike in Sedona in West Oak creek canyon. I think it was the west rim trail? There is a limited parking lot that fills up really quickly we were able to park off the highway and walk a little ways to the hike and get in for free and it was the most gorgeous hike. It rained on us for a little bit, except Sienna who had a rain cover for the poco, and it was nice and overcast and beautiful for the rest of the hike. I think we did like 6.4 miles. By the end of the day we had hiked/walked 9.2 miles. I'm glad Pat's back was doing good. Sienna napped in the poco too, it was precious.

We ate at a cute place with outdoor seating that I liked. Pat's food was better than mine though lol and we walked around Sedona and looked at the shops. We enjoyed our evening together.

On the way home we stopped in Flagstaff and ate at Olive Garden which is one of my favorites and it was absolutely delicious. One day it would be fun to stay in Flagstaff too, I liked it and the taller trees there. It was pretty.
