6 months

Dearest Brylianna we can't believe you have been with us for half a year already! When I was pregnant it took FOREVER for one month to go by, but the months go by so fast with you here. We love you so much and you are seriously the happiest smiliest baby ever. Everyone comments constantly at how cute and genuinely happy you are. You are now 13.8 pounds and 26 and 1/4th inches tall. You are tall and skinny so get ready for us to feed you lots and lots of food! You love oatmeal and have had bananas, yogurt, those cereal puffs, and dad let you lick a chip ha ha. We will be trying lots more food this month. You are soooooo close to crawling! Any day now. You push up on your hands and will even get up on your hands and toes in a bear crawl position. You move your legs in crawling motions but not your hands quite yet. You can turn and scoot to where you want to go generally though. You are still laughing but make us work for it, the other day at the Dr's office while we were waiting, dad tickled your tummy with his hair and you just giggled and giggled, it was adorable. You are getting more vocal and get super excited when you know we are going to feed you oatmeal and you kick and "ooooh" and just can't wait. It is super cute. You still sleep around 7-8 hours a night and take 2-4 naps. Usually 3 naps but sometimes not. You went to your first Aggie basketball game and jumped everytime the buzzer went off and then got sad, so we took you home after 10 minutes. Your latest things are getting up on your hands and knees and just rocking backward and forward, sometimes super animatedly, and especially during naptime. You also like to sleep on your side or stomach now. You light up our lives with your sweet little spirit everyday. We love you!

5 Months

Brylianna you are 5 months old, oh my goodness that is just crazy. You are soooo cute and smiley and giggley and such a genuinely happy baby, I love it sooooo much :) You have discovered your toes and like to suck on them. Baby flexibility is amazing. You are discovering how to just suck on your thumb and not all of your fingers. You have tried yogurt and didn't really know what to think of it and you tried some banana and I think you like it. You smile everytime we smack our lips and it is so cute to watch your cute smile and your eyes light up. You are still sleeping pretty good and sleep in the swing for naps and the pack n play at night. I went in to check on you the other night and you were  sleeping on your stomach with your head down, which freaked me out for a second, cuz that is the first time you have done that, I rushed in and grabbed you and you weren't too happy to be woken up, but I was super happy your were okay.( I'm sure lots of moms have done that :) , I will have to get used to it though) You still roll from your back to your tummy everytime we put you down and are starting to kind of move backwards and you can turn and change which direction you are facing sometimes. I can tell you just want to move and go everywhere and learn how to crawl, I think you will learn how soon! You are just trying to figure out the world, I can see it in your bright beautiful eyes and it is so cute. Dad took you outside the other day while it was snowing and you were mesmerized. You are such a sweet little spirit, we are starting to see hints of your personality show through and it makes us excited for when you can talk and tell us what is going on in that little mind of yours, but right now we are enjoying this adorable stage of life with you. Love you baby girl!

My first day back to work. ( I only work one day a week though and I miss Brylianna the whole time ha ha) But she is in good hands with her daddy

 5 months postpartum yay I am finally feeling mostly back to where I was pre-pregnancy except I am not in near as good of shape cardiovascular wise and strength wise. But as a mother ( even though I am still a pretty new mother) I do think it is so important to take time to keep yourself healthy so that you can give more to your family. Some moms feel guilty for taking time to work out etc. but it is totally worth it in the long run! I am happier when I am healthy and I think that makes everyone happier :)

 And it snowed like more than a foot the other day! Winter is in full force I would say. I am not a huge fan of winter, but it was beautiful!

4 months

Our sweet Brylianna you are 4 months old! We cannot believe it, time goes by so fast. You are such a light in our lives. You are nonstop smiley and such a genuinely happy baby we love it. At your 4 month appointment you were 13 pounds and 4 oz and 25.5 inches long! You are in the 90 percentile for height and now 30% for weight and your head is 70 percentile. You sure take after your daddy and will be tall and skinny most likely. You fit in 6 month clothes a couple weeks ago, you long little baby.

You now roll from your back to your stomach every time we put you down and prefer rolling to your left side but can roll to your right side too. You were a champ for your shots this month again and only cried for a minute and then you were good. It helped that daddy was holding you. Mom is too squeemish for some of that stuff! You had been sleeping through the night from about 11pm-7 or 8am but recently started waking up every 3 hours again, which made for some tired parents. We are teaching you how to sleep through the night again now though since the Dr. said you were doing fine and we didn't need to feed you at night since we know you Can sleep through the night. You have done great the past two nights and we have just had to give you your binky and you go back to sleep once or twice a night now. You sit in your bumbo but like to slouch to one side after awhile, you reach for things now if they are in front of you, which mom thinks is so cute. 

Also you are now giggling! We have to work super hard to make you giggle and it is a short adorable little giggle, but we love it! It is more precious than any other sound I have heard in my lifetime and more magical than rainbows or cotton candy ha ha. Mom has made you giggle 4 times now, and you have giggled for dad and Aunty Kim too! I made you giggle twice today and I decided that made my whole day :) It is so darn cute!

Oh and the other day you smiled a huge smile everytime dad said the word snow in a certain tone, it was super cute. 

You like to stare at tv screens.

You love to suck on your hands.

You like to move around and don't stay still too much, but we love your cuddles after naps.

You still sleep best in the swing, we will have to transition away from that soon.

And you smile after we scare you sometimes. 

We love you Brylianna you are the sweetest little angel and we are so happy you are part of our family. We hope you continue to enjoy the baby life!

So these are from Christmas, Paige and I made ornaments and I made some with Brylianna's footprint! It was hard cuz the second she felt the clay she would squish her toes around in it.

Paige bought these jammies for Brylianna and knew I had matching ones, so she requested a photoshoot ha ha
